SoPro: Member of European REVES Network

Since June 14, 2014 the BIENE Association as lead partner of the project and operator of the SoPro platform is the first Austrian member of REVES (European Network of Cities and Regions for the Social Economy). Admittance was granted within the frame of the General Assembly at Darfo Boario (IT). Around 100 persons attended the accompanying event of "European partnerships face the challenges of social cohesion and sustainability".

Many of the existing instances of cooperation of REVES members are on the one hand good examples of successful and appreciative cooperation, on the other the SoPro platform encounters good opportunities of innovative partnerships. Further professional exchange has been agreed with the hosts of this meeting, the social cooperative Sol.Co. Camunia. This cooperative is the second-largest employer of this region with approx. 2,000 workers. They are well-linked with public institutions as well as with economic enterprises.

Deepened cooperation has been discussed with President Jan Olsson from REVES. REVES will intensely support contacts and activities in preparation of a focus on SoPro in the Danube region.
