Gift bags made out of old Soil Art Calendars
The Fairwurzelt social project produce soil bags for the Department of Rural Development
The so-called “soil bags”, a recycling product out of Soil Art Calendars, are produced from now on in social production by the Fairwurzelt women’s project at Neidling-Afing. Dr. Erwin Szlezak from the Department of Rural Development of the Lower Austrian Government personally collected the first gift bags, and showed enthusiasm about the work of the female participants in the Fairwurzelt project.
Fairwurzelt offers a workplace to long-term unemployed women under fair conditions, and it furthers the best-possible preparation for the employment market and a long-term employment contract.
“Folding the gift bags requires much patience and mainly accuracy, this is exactly the right kind of work for our female workers! Through their admiration of the soil colour paintings in the Soil Art Calendar, this work is done with pleasure by our women”, states Division Manager Angela Stradinger.
